Laguna de Bay
I recently came upon a stash of old photographs from 2007. I visited a lot of places that year, taking a lot of photos (mostly snapshots because of lack of planning), but thankfully I had the good sense to shoot in RAW, so processing them was painless and flexible.
These photos were taken somewhere along the traveler’s circuit popularly known as the Laguna Loop, using a handheld D80 with a stabilized 18-200mm zoom. I reprocessed them in Lightroom 4 and Nik Color Efex Pro, revealing details that weren’t readily visible in the original versions. That’s the great thing about shooting RAW—although the recorded information stays the same through the years, photos improve as demosaicing and processing technologies become more advanced.
